Cassidy Snyder.

My time in Washington, D.C. was extremely fulfilling. At Brownstein, I worked as a Government Relations intern and spent my time helping their various GR divisions. My main tasks were to cover congressional hearings, research new business opportunities, and help conduct research for existing clients. I also was asked to be part of a selective team of interns tasked with creating a legislative history of the Inflation Reduction Act (H.R.5376). Being able to work in DC this summer solidified my love for government work and provided me with the connections I’ll need to secure further work in the future.

I was surprised at how willing all of the employees were to help the Brownstein Interns. Even the most senior employees at the firm took the time to sit down with us and talk about their working career, give advice to hopeful interns, and share their previous DC experiences. I plan to continue working in DC once I graduate. Specifically, I’d love to be able to work on education policy and help provide better schools for children in need.
