Honors Living Learning Communities

Living Learning Communities (LLCs) at Syracuse are comprised of a group of students sharing  a college, major or other affiliation. These students live together in a residence hall with faculty and campus community support, and  engage in social and academic experiences both on and off campus.

The Honors Program has two LLCs:

Honors Living Learning Community

Our first-year LLC is open to first-year Honors students only, and if you are a Renée Crown Honors student and do not select an LLC for your first year, you will be placed in the Honors LLC automatically.

    • Live in Sadler Hall on the 1st -6th floors, with access to the Honors classroom and small group study rooms. The LLC could be a full or partial floor arrangement with a mixture of LLC and non-LLC students.
    • Connect with Renée Crown University Honors Program faculty and staff through in-hall advising sessions and Honors Program dinners.
    • Earn Honors community service hours through coordinated service events.
    • Live and learn alongside other first-year Honors Program students from all nine undergraduate schools and colleges.
    • Gain academic support through LLC study groups, academic success skill development, and in-hall review sessions facilitated by upper-class LLC peer mentors.
    • Participate in community-building events like movie nights, trips to Syracuse hot spots like the Salt City Market, and an Oscar viewing party.
