Tell Your Story Walking

Tell Your Story Walking is a collection of creative work by Syracuse University Honors students and alumni, curated by current Honors students.

We connect our community by providing a platform for creative nonfiction, visual art, and multimedia to give a voice to individual experiences and perspectives.

Tell Your Story Walking is published online and as a print magazine. Students edit and produce the publication through the course HNR 340: Producing a Creative Nonfiction Anthology.

Honors students can earn civic engagement hours for this project: one hour for submitting, and up to ten hours if their work is published.

Submissions are open now for the 2026 edition. The deadline is September 20. Submit through the website.

The Crown: Syracuse Honors Research Journal

Born out of an Honors course dedicated to journal production, The Crown seeks to highlight research-based work of students from all disciplines in one central location. The journal includes a variety of pieces from technical projects to analytical essays, all of which are open access and peer reviewed.

The inaugural edition of The Crown was published in December 2023. The next edition will be edited and published in fall 2027. Submissions are open now for any work completed in the spring 2026 semester or later. See the journal website for details.
