Gianna Frank

This experience provided me with many opportunities for personal growth. Living abroad on my own as a freshman in college was a huge adjustment. I found out a lot about myself over the four-month stay. I lived with a host mother, and she helped with the adjustment process a lot. I will forever cherish my time here and all of the friends I made. Most importantly, I will always possess the qualities that I learned while here. I did a lot of research before I came. One thing that I was not expecting was to hate the food. Most of the food in Spain is very bland, but some others are enjoyable.

An aspect that made my experience more enjoyable was traveling. While here, I went to Rome, Italy, and Munich, Germany. These trips were amazing and helped advance my knowledge of my own personal cultures and ancestry.

I hope to eventually return to Spain to learn more about the nation.
