Admission to Honors for High School Applicants
We aim for a diverse and representative group of students who will excel at Syracuse University. The Renée Crown University Honors Program is an all-University program that represents Syracuse University's students enrolled in each school and college.
If you are an incoming first-year student and you are interested in the Honors Program, you can apply to the program. We seek students with broad intellectual curiosity and a deep commitment to explore their field of study, foster global awareness, improve their communication skills, and pursue civic engagement.
Your First Year in Honors
During your first year in Honors, you can select to live in the Honors Living Learning Community (LLC) or another LLC of your choice. The Honors LLC is located in Sadler Hall. You may learn more about residential life via the Housing Office and the Office of Student Living.

- You must have applied, and been accepted, to Syracuse University for us to consider your application. Please do not apply before you have an offer of admission from the University.
Deadlines:
The deadline to apply for admission to the Honors Program for Fall 2023 has passed.

- If you are an incoming first-year student in Fall of 2023 and interested in the Honors Program, the next admissions cycle is for Spring 2024 entry. You can apply in December as a current Syracuse student.

- This first-year application cycle will reopen next Spring when admissions decisions are being made for Fall 2025.
