Associate Professor Ingrid Erickson - School of Information Studies (iSchool)

Ingrid Erickson an Associate Professor at the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University. An ethnographer and organizational scholar by training, her research centers on how the values and designs of technologies, especially artificial intelligence, influence how we communicate with one another, navigate and inhabit spaces, and engage in new forms of work.

Her research sits at the nexus of three disciplinary communities: organizational studies, information science & human-centered computing, and science and technology studies. She regularly attends the Academy of Management, Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW & ECSCW), and Society for the Social Studies of Science (4S) conferences.

She received her Ph.D. from the Center for Work, Technology and Organization in the Department of Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University in 2009.
