Honors Students are 2021-22 Lender Center Student Fellows

Two Honors students and an alumna have been selected as the 2021-22 Lender Center student fellows. Phoebe Ambrose ’22, Shiori Green ’23 and Taylor Krzeminski ’20 are among the six student fellows who will be working with the Lender Center Faculty Fellow, Prof. Jonnell Robinson to study food justice issues in Syracuse. Robinson, an associate professor of geography and the environment was chosen to lead this team after Prof. Evan Weissman, who initiated the project passed away unexpectedly last April. Weissman, who at the time of his passing was an associate professor in food studies and nutrition in the Falk College, wanted to use the fellowship to determine if the food systems in Syracuse were meeting the needs of the community, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Robinson and the team of student fellows will ensure that Weissman’s passion for advancing food justice in Syracuse will live on.
