Art in Life Students painting the "Refugee Boat"Honors students in Prof. Ellen Blalock’s Art in Life: CNY Artists class have an opportunity visit art exhibitions in the Syracuse area and meet with various artistes in Central New York. In early September, they visited the Yoko Ono exhibition at the Everson Museum in Syracuse, NY. This exhibition has several works of art that encourage the viewer to be a collaborator.
Among the artistes that they have visited is Tim van Beveren (seen in the picture below), a Syracuse graffiti artiste, who talked to the students about his motivation as an artiste.

Tim VanBeveren, a Syracuse graffiti artist, talks to the Art in Life class class about art, gentrification and why he does art.
