Alum of the Week: Nelson Trusler, Arts & Sciences ’16

Nelson Trusler (AS ’16) is pursuing graduate studies in Food Science at the University of Wisconsin, Madison after graduating from Syracuse University with a BS in Biology.  As an undergraduate, he won numerous awards and scholarships including the Founders Scholarship, the William Gronberg Merit Scholarship, and the Research and Academic Excellence award in the Biology Department.

Through the Honors program, Nelson, “met people that became some of my best friends here at Syracuse … and that made learning a lot more fun”.  He also enjoyed the Honors classes, and specifically singled out the ‘The Human Predicament’ class with Prof. Malikow as “one of the most thought provoking classes I have taken at Syracuse University.”
