Alum of the Week: Kristopher Murray,  Arts & Sciences ‘15

 

Kristopher Murray (AS ’15Kristopher Murray (AS '15)) is currently pursuing doctoral studies in biotechnology at the University of Notre Dame after being awarded an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.  He graduated from the Honors program after an impressive undergraduate career with several awards including the Ornstein Family Scholarship, the Honors Crown Award, and the Birge Award for Exceptional Performance in Biochemistry Research. He was also an American Chemical Society Scholar and a Syracuse University Ruth Meyer Undergraduate Scholar.

While reflecting on his undergraduate experience, Kristopher lauded the Honors program for giving him “the opportunities and the pressure to push myself to be the best student I could be… [and] to grow into a more confident and well-rounded person and scholar.”  He particularly enjoyed the “exclusive benefits, including backstage passes, Honors courses and events.”  Attending these events with other Honors students was  the “highlight of my time at Syracuse.”
