Choose a Bowl, Share a Meal

people selecting ceramic bowlsPlease join us for a simple meal of soup and bread in a hand-made bowl to raise money for food pantries in Onondaga County. The event takes place this Friday 9/30 from 11-2 pm  at the Cantor Design Warehouse, corner of West and Fayette Streets downtown.

The project is called “Empty Bowls” and raised over $21,000 last year for food pantries in Onondaga County. Since the project’s inception it has raised nearly a quarter million dollars. 15 of the best local restaurants, farms and bakeries are participating, along with help from our friends at Clayscapes Pottery, local artists, the College of Visual and Performing Arts, and the Chancellor’s office. All donations will go 100% to providing food to hungry people in our community. And you take home a hand-crafted ceramic bowl as a memory.
