Hello Honors Community!

Please join us in welcoming Jolynn Parker to the Honors staff! Many of you already know Jolynn as the instructor for our popular HNR 240 “Food Stories” class; she has over ten years of experience teaching and mentoring Syracuse University students in her previous role with the English department. Jolynn will be our new advisor for the Center for Fellowship and Scholarship Advising (CFSA) so you will work with her if you are interested in nationally competitive awards like the Fulbright, Marshall, Goldwater, or Udall. She will also be an advisor in the Honors Program and serve as a Capstone Coordinator for student projects.

You’ll also find some familiar faces in new roles: Samir Malovic has shifted positions to become the Budget Manager and Data Administrator (Gerard McTigue has left Honors to pursue full-time graduate study at Newhouse) and Kate Hanson is now working as the Deputy Director of Honors (Eric Holzwarth is now enjoying his well-deserved retirement).
