Serving as a faculty advisor for an Honors student's thesis involves a couple of touch points with Honors to make sure the student, in your estimation, is on track to produce a thesis worthy of their field of study. Below is a guide, with links, to the forms you will be prompted to submit on behalf of your student throughout their project.
Proposal Approval
The proposal approval form is required by the faculty advisor at the outset of the project and is critical to helping the student establish the scope and timeline of their work. Ideally, the student will have met with your face to face to discuss their proposal. When they submit their proposal form to Honors, you will receive a link to this approval form. You can find that link here as well.
Funding Recommendation
If your Honors thesis student has applied for project funding via SOURCE / Honors application, you can find the form to submit a recommendation / evaluation of their project below.
Final Thesis Approval
When your student submits their final Thesis to Honors, you will receive an email directing you to the form to submit your final approval of their thesis project. You can find that form below:
Note: You will still need to grade your student's 499 course if applicable, and they will need to earn a B or higher to be certified to graduate with Renée Crown Honors.
