Honors Welcomes Harriet Brown to Core Faculty

The Honors Program is delighted to welcome Harriet Brown, Professor, Magazine, News and Digital Journalism and Co-director, Fashion and Beauty Communications Milestone, to the Honors Core Faculty. Brown teaches the innovative and popular course, Fat and Feminism. The course examines the intersecting frameworks of weight and feminism through the lens of media. Professor Harriet Brown also played a significant role in this year’s seminar series, “Critical Fat Studies: From the Academy to the Community.” The seminar brought together Esther Rothblum, editor of the Fat Studies Journal, and Joy Cox, author of Fat Girls in Black Bodies, and was moderated by Brown.
