Forbes recently asked Honors professor Sally Roesch Wagner to weigh in on this year’s mid-term election, which has been dubbed “The Year of the Woman.” In the article, Roesch Wagner shares some little-known stories from the women’s suffrage movement including how Frederick Douglass assisted, the role of Matilda Joslyn Gage, and Haudenosaunee women’s historical right to vote.

Professor Wagner teaches 3 courses for Honors: “Women’s Rights: A Native American Tradition,” “Activism in the 60s” and “History of the Women’s Suffrage Movement.”
