The Syracuse University Libraries are now accepting applications for the Student Library Advisory Board (SLAB) for the Fall 2026 semester.

SLAB is a great opportunity for students who want to play a more active role in shaping the library experience on campus. Members meet once a month to share feedback, discuss ideas, and collaborate with library staff on improving services, spaces, and student engagement.

Participation comes with a few solid perks as well:

  • Monthly meetings with lunch provided
  • A stipend for your contributions
  • The chance to directly influence how students interact with library resources

This is especially valuable if you’re interested in leadership, campus involvement, or even consulting-style thinking – you’re essentially giving structured feedback to improve a major campus system.

You can find more details and submit your application here.

Working on student engagement initiatives, spaces like SLAB are one of the few places where student input actually translates into real operational changes. If you’re interested in how institutions evolve based on user feedback, this is worth considering!
