Cruel April Poetry Reading
Point of Contact is hosting their 2026 Cruel April Poetry reading on Wednesday, April 8th from 5:30-7:30 PM at the Syracuse University Art Museum in Shaffer Hall. Poets include former Honors Director and current Professor Stephen Kuusisto, NYU Professor Urayoan Noel, and Honors student OlaRose Ndubuisi. Previously, OlaRose has been recognized as the 2024-2025 New York State Youth Poet Laureate. We are proud to see our students exploring creativity and working alongside distinguished guests.
The poetry reading is against the backdrop of “Possible Worlds,” an exhibit which marks the 20th anniversary of the Wynn Newhouse Award, which has recognized artists living with disabilities. The guest poets themselves have faced disabilities and have used their perspective and experience to elevate their creative work.
