Through the Honors Professional Development Grant, I was able to attend and present at the Society for Personality and Social Psychology National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. I started working on a collaborative research project in the fall of 2020 with another honors student and a PHD student in our department. At the conference, we presented our poster at a poster session to other students and professionals in the field. I was also able to talk with other researchers about their projects and attend a data blitz session.
I was surprised at how varied the research was. I did not expect to see so many topics and niches. Some of the research was on topics that I would have never even thought about. I was also able to learn more about the research process and other methods from other researchers and companies.
