This summer, I had the opportunity to work as an NIL Junior Creative Account Manager at Campus Ink! Campus Ink is the parent company of the NIL Store, a platform that allows student-athletes to amplify their brand and connect with their fans through NIL merchandise with industry-leading payouts. I worked as an intern for Campus Ink remotely over the past year and was eager for the chance to get to work with them in person. As the NIL Junior Creative Account Manager, I was responsible for recruiting and onboarding student-athletes, developing store materials, and conceptualizing NIL merchandise designs for student-athletes across the country. Throughout the summer, I worked in Campus Ink’s Chicago office where I got to learn from the NIL Store team firsthand. It was amazing having a front row seat to one of the leading forces in the NIL industry!

Something I wasn’t expecting about Campus Ink was the eagerness of the staff to be creative, push boundaries, and make an impact in the world of college athletics. It was incredible getting to witness a team of professionals all come together and strive for a common goal. While in Chicago, I had the opportunity to sit with each member of the NIL Store team individually and ask them about how they got to this point in their professional journeys. It was inspiring to see how passionate they were about the NIL Store and sharing the stories of student-athletes through merchandise.

I’m excited to continue working remotely for Campus Ink and the NIL Store during the school year as the Syracuse NIL Store Social Media Ambassador. I can’t wait to continue working with the NIL Store staff to grow the presence of the NIL Store both on Syracuse’s campus and on social media, and I am so grateful to Honors for providing this internship grant that allowed me to experience this opportunity!
