footnotes_thumbnavThe first Honors Footnote event of the year took place Monday, September 28th. Foraging expert, Emily Alexander, and Honors advisor Jolynn Parker led a group of students on a walk to learn about edible wild foods and the practice of foraging.

The group trekked through Oakwood Cemetery to find edibles such as acorns, curly dock, crab apples, wild grapes and ginko nuts. Their search for Chicken of the Woods Mushrooms was sadly unsuccessful.
