Honors Alumni Win Major Awards

Santita Ebangwese in France

The Center for Fellowship and Scholarship Advising worked with many Honors alumni this academic year. Santita Ebangwese (’19 ‘G20) and Emma Ettinger (’18) received funding to earn master’s degrees abroad through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. Santita is concluding the first year of a two-year master’s program in life sciences and biology at the University of Paris-Saclay in France, and Emma is completing a one-year master’s program in Shakespeare and creativity through the University of Birmingham’s Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon. Leah Garlock (’16) received an English Teaching Assistantship from the Fulbright program to teach English in South Korea, which she began in January 2021.  Kyle Rosenblum (’20) became the first Schwarzman Scholar in SU history and participated in the program virtually. He earned a master’s degree in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.

All alumni are are eligible to apply for these awards and many others and CFSA staff provide support with preparing applications!
