Timeline & Due Dates for Spring Semester Graduates

The thesis project has a few key milestones that you will be required to meet as you progress throughout completion in Honors.  Your Honors Advisor will email you reminders as deadlines approach that relate to your thesis. Pay attention to your email and schedule a quick meeting or ask them a question if you need advice or clarification.

Individual Senior Meeting with your Honors Advisor!

Students should have completed their senior audit meeting with their Honors Advisor in the fall semester. If you or your Honors Advisor has any concerns about you completing the Honors Program, a January meeting will become mandatory, to make sure you stay on track for graduation. Otherwise, a meeting is not necessary, but always welcomed!

There is no turn in link for this deadline, but to help create accountability and to support students being on time for the February 1st deadline it is recommended that you have the first half of your initial draft completed by January 15th.

Presentation Day takes place throughout the Hall of Languages. Faculty Thesis Advisors, readers, mentors, friends, families and guests are all encouraged to attend.

Renée Crown University Honors Program Convocation

Honors Convocation is a formal celebration of your Honors achievements and will be held in Hendricks Chapel on the Friday of Commencement Weekend at 3pm, followed by a reception for everyone.

Students wear their regalia and Renée Crown University Honors Program pin. Students are also encouraged to invite family and friends to share in this milestone moment. During the ceremony, you will line up with your school/college peers. Your name and thesis title will be read aloud as you cross the stage to shake hands with your program's Dean and receive your Honors medallion, pausing briefly for a photo.

Honors will also announce the Thesis Prize winners in each category during the ceremony.
