Calling all songwriters! Student musicians are invited to apply for the 13th annual SU Songwriter Showcase.  Students are encouraged to submit an original song for consideration to be performed in a livestreamed concert on Friday, November 13.  Any type of recording is fine – from simple demo to fully produced track – as long as we can hear your song.  Performances will be pre-recorded.  Songwriters selected for the showcase may provide their own videos, or we will have some slots available to shoot performances on campus.  Songwriters of all genres are encouraged to apply at susongwriters.com.  The deadline to apply is Saturday, October 24.

Since 2009, the series has presented more than 100 student songwriters of all styles performing in a stripped-down, primarily solo setting.  The event is produced by students in a course called Inside the Words and Music, taught by musician/writer Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers and offered by the Renée Crown Honors Program.  Visit susongwriters.com to learn more, or email susongwritershowcase@gmail.com with questions.
