Smith Hall 117

Opening Reception

February 7, 2020 5-8pm

This exhibition showcases interactive and multi-sensory works that deal with touch in relation to other senses, particularly sound. Topics explored in these works include the ideas physical interactions with strangers in relation to wanted and unwanted touch. The interactive Sound Grids involve the audience in a collection of data investigating the differences between Misophonia (the involuntary hatred of sound) and ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response).Through a variety of media including printmaking, bookmaking, and woodworking, I invite the audience to touch and interact with my work in ways that push past canonical gallery expectations. The opening is February 7th, 2020 from 5pm-8pm in Smith Hall 117 in the Random Access Gallery.
