Submissions for The Crown are Open!
Student researchers! The Crown: Syracuse Honors Research Journal returns in fall 2025, showcasing multidisciplinary research by Honors students. Get involved by submitting your best work or joining the student editorial and design staff to create the 2025 edition through the fall HNR 340-M018 course “Producing a Research Journal”. Submissions can be sent here: Submit your work to The Crown: Syracuse Honors Research Journal
Submit your best work for the 2025 edition of The Crown, an undergraduate research journal edited and produced by Honors students.
We are seeking research-based projects in any discipline, including academic essays and papers, journalism, visual and performing arts, and other multimedia works.
The Crown aims to reach a general audience, so we are particularly looking for work that’s accessible to nonspecialists.
- Submissions from technical fields can be excerpts from a poster, thesis, or other research presentation or publication. An excerpt or summary might include an introduction outlining the problem and its importance; a brief overview of methods; and a section on the findings and their significance. Links to posters, publications, or data sets to support your paper are welcome.
- * Submissions are open to Honors students and to student projects funded by SOURCE.
- * All projects must have been completed in the spring 2024 semester or later.
- * Each submission needs to be supported by a faculty recommendation. You just provide the faculty name and email in the submission form, and we will send a request.
- Honors students can earn civic engagement for submitting to The Crown: one hour for submitting, and up to ten hours if your work is published.
