Qiong Wu

This summer, I completed an internship at Audit Alliance LLP in my home country of Singapore. I had the opportunity to work with a few different seniors on various client projects, which allowed me to gain a better understanding of both auditing and the office environment. Towards the end of the internship, I was also able to do some field work, which allowed me to visit a client at their office. It was refreshing to be back in a place where I could practice my native language of Chinese. I was surprised at how quickly it came back to me even after spending a decade in a primarily English-speaking community. I’m hoping to keep in touch with the Southeast Asian side of my identity by staying up to date on the news in Singapore and being more proactive about finding ways to interact with my native language.
