Jeremy Todd Shinder ’24 Named a 2024 VPA Scholar

Jeremy Todd Shinder, a film major in the Department of Film and Media Arts, has been named a 2024 VPA Scholar! The Scholars program is the highest undergraduate academic honor within the College of Visual and Performing Arts, as it recognizes the achievements of the college’s top twelve seniors.

Raised as a professional actor, Jeremy has been able to foster his entrepreneurial spirit during his time at SU by founding his own production company, Jere Bear Films. After writing, directing, and producing three award-winning shorts and a stop-motion animation, he is currently in the midst of production for his Honors thesis film, Theo’s Tears (2024).

Jeremy will be recognized alongside other VPA Scholars at the college’s convocation ceremony this upcoming May. We celebrate and congratulate Jeremy for all his efforts, and we wish him luck in his future endeavors!
