Gretchen: I’m a senior political science and political philosophy major from the Chicago suburbs. On campus, I’m a Student Research Mentor for the SOURCE (our office for undergraduate research) and a Peer Mentor for Honors. I’m also the founder of Ballot Z, an initiative to increase turnout among Generation Z voters in Illinois; I’m really passionate about voting rights and hope to pursue a career in election reform advocacy. The fascinating courses and supportive community in Honors have made this program one of the most important parts of my college experience, so I love being an Honors Ambassador. Outside of school and politics, I really love soup! I try to make a different kind of soup every week, so I’m always on the lookout for new recipes.
