The Renée Crown University Honors Program warmly invites students, families, and friends to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 at this year’s Honors Convocation.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, May 8 at 3:00 PM in Hendricks Chapel, marking a meaningful milestone in each student’s academic journey. Honors Convocation is a formal celebration recognizing the dedication, intellectual curiosity, and sustained effort that define the Honors experience.

Students are asked to arrive by 2:15 PM and report to the Noble Room (downstairs by People’s Place). All participants should wear their regalia along with their Renée Crown University Honors Program pin.

During the ceremony, students will line up with peers from their school or college before processing into the chapel. As each student crosses the stage, their name and thesis title will be read aloud, and they will be recognized by their program’s Dean while receiving their Honors medallion. Students will also pause briefly for a commemorative photo.

The ceremony will include the announcement of Thesis Prize winners, highlighting exceptional scholarship across disciplines.

Following the ceremony, all attendees are invited to continue the celebration at a reception on the Lincoln Quad beginning at approximately 5:00 PM.

We encourage students to invite family and friends to share in this important moment as we honor the achievements and future promise of the Class of 2026.
