Matt Cufari Named 22-23 Astronaut Scholar

Founded by the Mercury 7 astronauts, the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to students who are pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering or mathematics and plan to pursue research or advance their field. Honors student Matt Cufari, a senior physics major in the College of Arts and Sciences and a computer science major in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, plans to earn a Ph.D. in physics and pursue a career in astrophysics research.
