We are looking for people who are motivated for our mission! Thanks to The Onondaga Literacy Coalition, MetroNet Inc., First English Lutheran Church, and the Office of Engagement at Hendricks Chapel. This program is sponsored by the Lutheran Campus Ministry/STEP Center.

The purpose of the program, Learning to Read Families Together, is to provide support to the Karen refugee community in Syracuse, New York by providing Eng-lish as a New Language (ENL) support. Most importantly, our program is designed to build the child and parent bond by encouraging them to learn at home, as well as in the classroom. Parents and their children learn English at the same time with a coordinated curriculum. When: Wednesday and/or Friday @ 9:00AM to 12:30 PM Academic credit is available.

Where: The Refugee Resource Center First English Lutheran Church located at 501 James St. Syracuse, New York

Transportation will be provided.
