Shaw Center STEM Initiatives

The Shaw Center needs volunteers for 2 of their STEM initiatives! STEM Explorers focuses on science and engineering activities, while SUITE (Syracuse University Information Technology Experiences) focuses on information technology activities (cyber security, coding, etc.). Both programs are great volunteer opportunities to engage with middle school students. Weekly sessions are on Fridays at 5 different sites and times, with a commitment of 2 hours (session plus travel time). Transportation is provided.

All volunteers are required to attend one training session. There are two sessions on Friday, February 2nd at 12 pm and 3 pm at 111 Waverly Ave, Conference Room 103. For more information on these programs or training session times, email LitInits@syr.edu or visit 111 Waverly Ave, Suite 102.
