Nutrition Initiative Volunteer Opportunity
The Shaw Center is providing transportation for 3 nutrition programs this semester!
Cooking on the Hillside is an after school program that works with high school students to teach basic cooking skills, recipe reading, and nutritional concepts each week. Program is on Wednesday & Thursday afternoons.
Books and Cooks creates lessons centered around a specific country and culture, accompanied by a recipe prepared with the whole group with Elementary Students. Program is on Friday afternoons.
Food Busters works with high school students to apply nutrition concepts to biomedical lessons. Each lesson will be based around a different nutrition and food science theme. Program is on Friday afternoons.
