University Conduct Board Seeking Nominations
University Conduct Board Seeking Nominations
Community Standards is seeking nominations for the University Conduct Board (UCB). The UCB is a student panel who is specially trained to review and adjudicate alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct. This is a unique role on our campus allowing students to directly interact with their peers to promote accountability and educate the community.
Any full-time undergraduate or graduate student is eligible to be a member of the UCB. The UCB provides students with important life skills (ex. critical thinking, logical reasoning, effective communication) and the opportunity to impact University policy. The UCB also provides a stipend to its members for their service.
Nominations can be submitted using the link below. Students who are nominated will be contacted directly and offered the chance to apply. You may nominate as many students as you choose that you believe would be interested and benefit from this opportunity. I’ve included a flyer with more information about the requirements and links to the application and nomination form on our website. You are also welcome to share this email/nomination form with any other University office or colleague that may be interested.
If there are any questions, please feel free to reach out directly to me or Community Standards studentconduct@syr.edu.
