Hopeprint Seeks Translators for Refugee Communities
Hopeprint is seeking qualified volunteers who are able to translate fliers and/or translate at clinics. The initiative is focusing on expanding vaccination availability in refugee communities throughout Syracuse. In order to do this, volunteers are needed to translate the fliers to get the word out, and translate at the vaccination clinics. Translating the fliers is a remote and flexible role, whereas clinic translators are needed in-person on the following dates: 3/13, 4/3, and 4/24 from 1pm to 4pm. Volunteers can attend one or all of these clinics. Fluency in English and one or more of the following languages is needed: Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Spanish, Russian, Polish and Bosnian. Commitment can be short- or long-term, and volunteers who are translating fliers can set their own hours. Honors will grant global experience to any student who completes 15 or more hours of service.
