Have your r\u00e9sum\u00e9 and transcripts ready.<\/li>\n\n<li>Professors get lots of email. It is easy to overlook an email message. When and where possible, <strong><em>consider talking with professors instead of emailing<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n<li>Your letter (or conversation) should express why you want to be a part of\u00a0this professor&#8217;s research.
