Thesis Title:

Childish: An Original Screenplay

Childish, a feature-length screenplay, follows the journey of Georgia, a spoiled young writer struggling to find her voice. Under pressure from her father, a successful author himself, Georgia tries time and time again to take the easy road. She forces herself into staged emotional situations and comes out with nothing on the other side. When she decides the best route is to write a story based on the more glamorous life of Chicago socialite Amy Windsor, her expectations are thrown for a loop. Amy offers her position as a muse only if Georgia agreesto nanny her daughter, Camille, in return. Watching Amy repeatedly turn away Camille, Georgia starts reflecting on her own relationship with her parents. Camille and Georgia grow together, learning their own worth and how to manage their emotions, until Georgia ultimately learns how to tell her own story.
