Thesis Title:
My Body Is the Land
Inspired by ancient legends of Mother Nature, My Body Is the Land is a short, experimental film about the connectedness of women to women and women to nature. The story revolves around four main characters that serve as archetypes for these natural legends: an innocent Baby Girl, a lost Mother, a nurturing Grandmother, and the all-knowing Ocean. The film aims to inspire the respect of women and nature on-screen through associative editing and off-screen through a commitment to service. The film prides itself on its all-women identifying production crew, sustainable efforts, and work with the San Gabreilino tribe.
