Thesis Title:

Aquatic Programming for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Grace Hale

The goal of this project was to create a tool to help facilitate effective and efficient aquatic learning for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The project was inspired by the Fit Families program, created at Syracuse University to increase physical activity opportunities for children with Autism. The tool created includes activities targeted at specific aquatic proficiency skills. The goal of the book is that it can be widely understood and used by a host of “aquatic instructors” including aquatic professionals, adapted physical education teachers, and parents.
