Help Out with Itanwa Orinwa!

Itanwa Orinwa (Our Story, Our Song) is a celebration dedicated to creating space for community building, connection, and recognition of graduating students of color. The 2025 Itanwa Orinwa committee is looking for volunteers to assist them on Friday, May 9 at the JMA Wireless Dome.

Below is a list of tasks that will be highlighted on the sign-up sheet:

• Registration – Your duties include checking in of registered graduates and faculty/staff members
  • Give Index card w/name to students
  • Give Faculty/Staff direction
• Greeters – Your duties include welcoming attendees, directing them to their seats, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Guides – Your duties include guiding graduates during the procession to ensure a seamless transition, by helping students line up as well as guiding them out of the ceremony

Your involvement is crucial in setting the stage for a remarkable event to make a smooth transition for our graduating students. If interested, please fill out the online excel spreadsheet. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, April 30 by 5pm.
