The Office of Parent and Family Services Needs Volunteers!
The Family Support Navigator serves as a vital resource and support system for parents, families and supporters of students enrolled at Syracuse University. This student volunteer role focuses on creating a welcoming environment and assisting families in navigating the university campus, resources and events.
Some of the benefits of becoming a Family Support Navigator are:
- 35+ community service hours (i.e., applies toward your Honors requirements!)
- Uniform and gear (i.e., shirts, water bottle, etc.)
- Meals provided during training, Syracuse Welcome, and Family Weekend events
- If living on campus, sponsored and no-cost early arrival to campus
- Professional development opportunities
- Opportunities to make lifelong friends on the team and connections with new students, faculty, staff, alumni and families/supporters
