Offer a Hand to Pete’s Giving Garden
The office of Sustainability Management is looking for outdoor volunteers to assist with various tasks in Pete’s Giving Garden, located behind the Inn Complete on South Campus. Volunteers can help with weeding, harvesting, planting and trimming. Students will learn how to work in an organic garden from an experienced student manager. Expectations are to enjoy working with fellow classmates enjoying nature, and knowing the food you help harvest is going to those on campus in need. Time commitment can be variable or long-term, and follows a set schedule on Fridays from 9am to noon during the month of September.
Sneakers or boots preferred, and dress for weather. Beds and surfaces are accessible, and there is a gravel road that leads to the asphalt walkway for transport. Contact Melissa Cadwell at email@example.com for more information.
