Community Garden Work

Yasmin Nayrouz ‘24 helped out at a gardening event at a local church, an event sponsored by the Student Association. “This was such a great day, and I’m so glad I volunteered!” said Yasmin. “We were able to help set up a new garden at a local church, which they plan to give people in need food from the garden. Additionally, we helped prepare tire gardens, which they plan to use to teach other people in the community how to garden for themselves. One woman said the garden symbolizes our community, and many of the people there were so happy and thankful to have SU students come and help out.” Get outdoors and do some of your own civic service!
