Reflections on a Non-Profit Internship
Reflections on a Non-Profit Internship
Rori Sachs (PC, ’20) worked with the Birds Nest Foundation last summer to create original short-form content. Birds Nest Foundation is a 501(c)3 non profit that creates media and video content for other non profit organizations.
Rori was responsible for managing all stages of pre, post, production, editing, producing, cinematography, sound mixing, photography, animation, and graphic design. She assisted with film shoots, helped with fundraising and ran social media pages. She also learned a lot about how both non-profit and for-profit entities function.
This experience gave Rori the opportunity to make a difference by assisting on projects that help others in need. “It was a great chance to further my film skills and learn about the industry. In subsequent experiences, I hope to achieve this same balance.”
