Tutor with CLASS

SU’s Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS) is launching a new platform to help students obtain tutoring.

We are partnering with Tutor Matching Services (TMS), a private company that works with universities including Purdue, Clemson, and NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering.

Undergraduate and graduate students interested in providing one-on-one tutoring on campus for Syracuse University students should apply through the Syracuse page of the Tutor Matching Service website.

Demand for tutors is especially high in math, science and foreign language courses.

Tutors must have earned a B+ or equivalent in courses they wish to tutor. Tutors who sign up with TMS will go through a review process to determine their eligibility for certification based on coursework, grades earned and participation in tutor training programs.

As a tutor for this program, you will be an independent contractor for TMS. You will set your own schedule and rates and will be paid by TMS.
