Tutors Needed

tutoring 2The Syracuse Northeast Community Center (SNCC) Tutoring Program is in need of SU students to tutor and work with children in the Syracuse City School District.

Program Details: 60% of students lose interest in math and science by the 8th grade. This program seeks to help students with their math and science homework by giving them individualized attention and with the use of unique educational activities. The program takes place on alternating weeks of Mondays and Thursdays from 4-6 pm for ages 5 -12. There are only 5 tutoring sessions for this semester before it starts again in the Fall 2015 semester. We prefer if tutors can volunteer at least on a biweekly basis. The SNCC program directors can sign-off for service hours.
