The funds we receive from alumni, family, and friends of the Renée Crown University Honors Program go directly to students: we send them to academic conferences to present their work, we fund research for their extraordinary thesis projects – here on campus and throughout the world – and we support their participation in Honors courses that include field trips, guest speakers, and hands-on research.
There are many ways to support the Honors Program, through both small donations that provide for everyday needs (such as the much-appreciated popcorn, coffee and hot chocolate in the Honors lounge) and larger donations that allow for ambitious faculty and student work (such as sending an Honors course on a weekend research trip to New York City or funding a student to present their work at a national conference).
Honors continues to provide exceptional opportunities for learning in large measure because of the support of donors. It’s a place where curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to superb undergraduate scholarship thrive. Generous philanthropy drives this excellence.
