Summer with a Nonprofit
Summer with a Nonprofit
Hairol Ma (PC/IS, ’19) spent last summer interning for Cru, a Christian nonprofit, as a graphic designer. creating different promotional materials including magazines, pamphlets, and posters. Aside from graphic design, she also participated in community engagement through campus and homeless outreach.
Hairol was actually slated to take a prestigious advertising internship, but decided to spend her summer doing nonprofit work instead. She found it incredibly rewarding: her faith grew exponentially and it was eye opening to work for an organization that exists solely for the purpose of serving something beyond themselves. It was the most challenging, stretching, growing, and fruitful summer she’s ever had. By far.
