Shakespeare in Syracuse

During the summer of 2016, you could find Miquon Jackson (AS ’18) in the amphitheater in Thornden Park where he was performing the lead role in Shakespeare’s tragedy, Coriolanus and working as an ensemble on stage crew as well.
Miquon had this to say about his experience: “It really helped me to understand how to work with a group of people in a time-sensitive project. Collaboration with artistic intent is difficult, since there’s less of an ‘objective’ answer to questions – it requires listening, diplomacy, and consideration of different options. I have evolved as an actor, a person, and as a team member thanks to this experience. I am currently auditioning to pursue subsequent experiences at a professional level.”
Did you know you could log up to ten civic engagement hours for participating in a cultural arts project? Now you do!
