Not all internships will count toward civic engagement, but some will.
Key information about SUIP:
- SUIP provides information about elective internships in Syracuse and elsewhere to students from all schools and colleges, and works with employers, faculty and students to help arrange internships that provide valuable learning opportunities.
- SUIP manages the processes of application for and registration of elective academic credit internships that are taken by undergraduate and graduate students from all SU schools and colleges except the College of Law.
- SUIP maintains a Resource Center which houses information about career-related topics and internships in Syracuse and other parts of the USA, and as well as this, offers advising appointments that assist students to identify their reasons for wanting an internship, explore internship options and develop and revise their resumes.
